Is it approved by Liquor Control Victoria and is it nationally recognised?

Yes, it's both approved by Liquor Control Victoria as well as being a nationally recognised course. This means that when you have successfully completed the course you will receive 2 certificates. One issued by Liquor Control Victoria and another issues by us as a statement of attainment showing the national qualification.

How long does it take to complete?

That really is up to you. The course is structured into multiple modules. These modules can be done one at a time, over several days, or you can choose to complete the modules in one session. This is the benefit of completing this course at your own pace.

Can I complete it in one go / can I do it over a period of time?

That really is up to you. The course is structured into multiple modules. These modules can be done one at a time, over several days, or you can choose to complete the modules in one session. This is the benefit of completing this course at your own pace.

How do I confirm my identity?

At module 11 of the course, you are required to submit a video – during that video, you are required to produce evidence of your identity. This is to ensure that the person completing the module is the same person who enrolled in the course.  No confirmed identity, no certificates.

Do I have to have a USI number ?

As a registered training organisation, we are required to provide the federal government with details of those who have completed training. This is to ensure that all people who have completed training over the years, probably would have done so at multiple training organisations.  A USI tracks all training courses for individuals in one place. If you already have a USI, you will need to enter that number when you enrol.  If you do not have a USI number, go to usi.gov.au and obtain one. It does not cost anything, and will only take a few moments to obtain.

How do I demonstrate how to refuse service?

At module 11, you will need to video record yourself pretending how you would talk and behave towards a customer that you will refuse service to.   The video typically will be between 40 – 90 seconds long.

After I complete the course, how long does it take to be assessed and the certificates issued?

We have assessors that undertake a review of completed courses on a daily basis. Whilst we decree that students will receive their certificates within 48 business hours, the reality is that most students receive their certificates within 8 business hours.

Are the certificates valid in all states?

For most states, yes – but in NSW there are overriding conditions for that to be the case.  If you live and work in NSW then this course is not accepted. If you live in another state, but work in NSW then this course is accepted.  It is valid in all other states.
We hope that you now have a better understanding of our RSA on-line course. Naturally, if you have other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss.
